For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology

The mission of FIRST is to inspire students to learn the skills of engineering through a recognition of science and technology. They also strive to teach gracious professionalism to all competing students. FIRST inspires us to be good sports and to help fellow teammates as well as other teams. It doesn't matter if you win or lose - what matters are the life lessons we take home with us after the competition is over.

FIRST Robotics' website takes pride in being an "exciting, international competition" in which students and mentors pair up to solve an engineering problem both effectively and creatively. The solutions are then pitted against other team's solutions in a competitive game in which the most successful design wins. This competition allows for teamwork, career preparations, and an enjoyable experience shared by all members.
